District 13 Leadership Conference (DLC) 2015

Once again it’s time to plan your attendance at the annual District 13 Leadership Conference (DLC), to be held this year in Montreal. The DLC brings together leaders from all the ISA Sections in a District to share experiences and ideas, reconnect with each other, and learn more about how they can better fulfill their leadership roles in ISA.

This year the conference will be held from Friday, May 29 to Sunday, May 31 at noon. The late May date will hopefully give us warm weather and will offer you an opportunity to explore the historic and welcoming city of Montreal.

As usual, the conference will kick off with a Friday evening social event, this time at Sharx Pool Bar (www.sharx.ca). Saturday will be devoted to presentations by ISA leaders on a variety of topics related to their ISA roles. A Saturday evening dinner event (details to come) will give you another opportunity to relax and network with your ISA friends. Sunday morning will top off the conference with the District 13 Council Meeting and various activities related to the operation of the District. The conference will wrap up around noon on Sunday, allowing everyone time to get home to their families and their other responsibilities.

The conference hotel is the Novotel Montreal Centre, 1180 rue de la Montagne, Montreal QC H3G 1Z1, Web site www.novotelmontreal.com. The conference room rate is $155.00 for a single or double room. To reserve, please call the hotel at 514 871 2138 or 1 866 861 6112 (Canada and U.S.) or fax them at 514 861 2295. Be sure to mention that you are with the ISA Montreal – District Meeting to get the group rate. The cut-off date to get the group rate is Wednesday, April 1 – after that, the rate is at the hotel’s discretion and you cannot be guaranteed a room.

Registration for the DLC itself can be done at the following link: isadlc13mtl2015.eventbrite.ca, also until April 1, or else by getting in touch with one of the contacts below.

More details on schedule and activities will be coming up soon – ISA Montreal will be keeping in touch with you and posting new information on www.isamtl.ca and LinkedIn. We all look forward to welcoming you to Montreal!

Please feel free to contact me or Richard Deza (Richard.Deza@omron.com(514) 293-7419 with any questions you have.
